- Maisel-Shohat, Hanna
- (b. 1890)Israel agricultural educator for girls. Hanna Maisel was born in Byelorussia and studied in Odessa and Switzerland. She settled in Palestine in 1909 and married Eliezer Shohat, another pioneer of the Second Aliyah. She was founder and principal from 1923 to 1960 of the Girls’ Agricultural School at Nahalal, and a leading figure in the women’s Zionist movement, WIZO.
