Orlinski, Harry
(b. 1908)
   American biblical scholar. Orlinski was born in Toronto and educated at the University of Toronto and at Dropsie College in Philadelphia. He is the author of many scholarly monographs including Under- standing the Bible through History and Archaeology (1972). He was the only Jewish member of the Protestant committee which updates the Revised Standard Version of the Bible and he was the editor-in-chief of the Jewish Publication Society’s translation of the Torah.
