Ticho, Anna
(1894–1980)
   Israel artist. Anna Ticho studied art in Vienna before settling in Palestine in 1912. She is known for her drawings of Jerusalem and its surroundings, usually done in charcoal and showing the landscape in minute detail. Her husband, Abraham Albert Ticho (1883–1960), was a distinguished eye doctor who founded a hospital in Jerusalem. Ticho won the prestigious Israel prize before she died.
