Wissotzky, Kalonymus Ze’ev
(1824–1904)
   Russian merchant and Zionist. Wissotzky came to Moscow from Lithuania and built up the largest tea business in Russia. He devoted his wealth to charity, to supporting the Chovevei Zion (‘Lovers of Zion’) movement, and to promoting Hebrew culture. He financed the leading Hebrew monthly, Ha-Shiloah.
