British gentile Zionist. A niece of Lord Balfour, Mrs ‘Baffy’ Dugdale became a convinced and active Zionist. For many years she worked closely with Dr WEIZMANN in London in the Political Department of the Jewish Agency, and spoke at public meetings and Zionist congresses. She published articles and a two-volume biography, Arthur James Balfour (1936). She died a day after the State of Israel was established. Her diaries, Baffy, were published in 1973.
