(1866–1940)
Russian lawyer. As a brilliant St Petersburg trial lawyer, Grusen-berg championed political and civil liberties. The highlight of his career was the successful conduct of the defence in the BEILIS blood libel case of 1913. In 1929, when he was living in exile, he was a member of the Jewish Agency Council on behalf of Latvian Jewry.
