(1905–67)
British soldier and author. A kinsman of Sir Basil Henriques, Robert joined the regular army and had a distinguished war record as a Commando officer, then as a colonel on Montgomery’s planning staff. His prize-winning novels included No Arms, No Armour (1939) and Through the Valley (1950), and he wrote an account of the Israel 1956 Sinai campaign, 100 Hours to Suez (1957).
